ITHACA, N.Y. – The Cornell Design League (CDL) is a student-run organization that has produced an annual fashion show on the Cornell campus since 1984. Cornell University offers the only fashion design program in the Ivy League, and the only Ph.D. in apparel design in the United States. More than 60 designers will feature 200 original ensembles on 170 live models. The club members, organizers and models involved in this year’s show are all Cornell students. Students work with faculty advisors from Cornell’s Department of Fiber Science & Apparel Design (FSAD).
During intermission, Pendleton Woolen Mills President Mort Bishop III will present Pendleton scarves made from the brand new, official Cornell Tartan that is registered in Scotland, and created by apparel design senior Jessie Fair.
